“Perfection on a plate”
Recently we hosted a special dinner at Mere restaurant in London alongside our Chef Ambassador Monica Galetti.
Highly regarded, award-winning chefs such as Ian Musgrave (The Ritz) and Tom Phillips (Restaurant Story) attended. They were joined by journalists and editors from Staff Canteen, The Caterer and Chef and Restaurant magazine amongst others. As dish after amazing dish was served, guests enjoyed great conversation and superb hospitality.
The menu was created by Monica and her head chef Yuri Scarcia.
Guests were treated to a four-course menu, combining the freshest Scottish seafood with Mere’s signature flair. Courses included a pumpkin mousse with smoked haddock, sea buckthorn and brioche, followed by fresh hand dived scallops with cauliflower, capers and miso sauce. Next up was pan roasted monkfish with black curry, mussels and bergamot sauce and finally a Mere signature pudding – hokey pokey chocolate dessert finished with 100% Koko Samoa.
The evening finished with a toast of Scotch Single Malt Whisky and was summed up by one guest as “perfection on a plate.” We’ll take that.
